    Students have the opportunity to develop their leadership capacity by taking part in our leadership full year option class, leading one of our student clubs or participating in the Student's Union as a homeroom representative.

    At Westlawn we encourage and support the pursuit of athletic excellence within an educational environment. Approximately 150 dedicated and enthusiastic Wildcat student athletes participate in a full compliment of sports teams. The Wildcats continue to be a source of pride and excellence at Westlawn. Participation in athletics can add to a quality educational experience and open up new doors of learning and leadership.

    Come out and become part of the Wildcat experience as an athlete or a fan! In addition, Westlawn has first rate athletics and physical education facilities including a newly renovated main gym, small gym, and a fully equipped fitness centre. Students have access to daily physical education opportunities including a comprehensive lunchtime intramural program and healthy snack and lunch alternatives.

We have a great deal to be proud of at Westlawn due in large part to the high standards we have set for our students for both academic achievement and student conduct. These high standards are supported by excellence in teaching and the development of a positive school climate.

The staff at Westlawn is committed to continuous improvement and we are excited about the collaborative culture that we have created through our Professional Learning Community (PLC) model. Each and every day we work together to achieve one collective goal - academic success for all of our students!
